ABOUT ANDY BOYD
Andy Boyd is a playwright based in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. He has an MFA in Playwriting from Columbia University and a BA (Magna Cum Laude) from Harvard University in American History and Literature. His plays have been produced at IRT, Naked Theatre Company, Epic Theatre Company, Harvard University, Columbia University, and Marquette University and have been part of the New York, Capital, and Providence Fringe Festivals. His plays have been developed at Roundabout Theatre Company, Dixon Place, and the Trunk Space and have been workshopped with In The Water Theatre Company, Out Loud Theatre Company, and Contemporary Theatre of Rhode Island. Andy’s plays include The Trade Federation, or, Let's Explore Globalization Through the Star Wars Prequels, Os Confederados (Columbia@Roundabout Reading Series), She Shall be Praised (Rhode Island State Council for the Arts Grant), River Rouge (Columbia MFA Thesis Production) and Acres of Diamonds (Phyllis Anderson Prize from the American Repertory Theater). He is currently a member of Speakers' Corner at The Gingold Group and and Playlab at Pipeline Theatre Company.
